Tuxedo Sam crochet hat pattern

I made this hat for my daughter, she's 4 now. I know there are tons of patterns out there on how to make a crochet beanie, you can always go to the one that you feel more comfortable using!, I've created this pattern because I'm always thinking about my daughter telling me, " It is too big, it's too tight, it itches..." That is exactly why I started using cotton instead of wool or acrylic, because she would have a hard time wearing anything but cotton.Anyway, you can also use the yarn of your choice and hooks similar to the ones I'm using, if you can't find  the same sizes.

Finishing the hat

Secure the eyes, cheeks and the beak of the penguin by pinning them, for an easier job. Sew on to form the face, add some poly fil into the penguin's beak. Once the face is ready, sew the headband on , the ear muffs (headband and circles) and finally the penguin's little hat. Add some poly fil into the ear warmers and hat. Voila!!.
You can also add some embellishments to the ear muffs like felt hearts or little crochet flowers, buttons, whatever you feel like using, let your imagination fly!!

Voila project complete!!!
