I love these but i cant figure out the straps
ReplyDeleteI came across these and thought "gosh", I just have to make them. I, also couldn't figure out the straps. BUMMER!!!
DeleteI LOVE these!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sandal pattern! I featured them in a round-up at MNE Crafts! - http://www.mnecrafts.com/2014/04/10-free-patterns-sandals.html
Thanks for your beautiful pattern!
what is the finished size on these?
ReplyDeleteme encantan
ReplyDeleteI find it very hard to follow this pattern. Round 1, round 2. Not ending slip stitch? If it is worked in rounds, how is it a strap? Lovely slippers. But, I just can't follow this pattern.
ReplyDeleteAfter a year since I've found this pattern, I thought I'd give it another try and just figure out how to do the straps again. And I'm so happy cuz I finally figured out how it works. ^_^
ReplyDeleteSo start with 10 single crochet in a magic circle and slip stitch to join. then chain 2 (or 3 if you think it's too short), and slip stitch 2 single crochets down, creating a little loop attached to your circle of 10, making it look like a figure 8.
then *chain 2, 4 double crochet, chain 2* all inside the chain loop.
chain 2 (or 3) again and attach with a slip stitch on the opposite side of the petal you just created. then repeat * to *
Make 14 petals and end with a slip stitch after the last *ch 2,4dc,ch2* cluster.
